Thank you for keeping the Grapevine alive and happy 35! I appreciate its modesty, serving the local community as it is; classified ads, tide tables, and the basic utility of publishing.
Some have complained of being censored or banned but maybe it’s more accurate that they chose to withdraw in reaction to being moderated. Others complain that content is not censored, and I bid them pause to observe the essential utility of freedom of speech. I certainly value the Grapevine while it remains open to one and all, in contrast to so many ideological echo chambers.
The printed paper copy is so steady and familiar that folks might be short on fire starter without it! In any case, the website remains a useful resource where an electronic copy of each print issue can be found and each article can be independently linked.
