OLD SCHOOL HEAT PUMP UPDATE
As you know the Old School committee and DICAN are fundraising to replace the oil furnace in the Old School with an energy efficient heat pump. The estimated cost of installing the heat pump is $30,000. Currently we have raised $23,750 in donations and pledges. We want to thank everyone who has donated or made a pledge thus far.
Now we need to make a final push to reach the total so the heat pump can be installed before winter. To that end we are appealing to anyone who has been thinking about making a donation or pledge to please consider doing so ASAP.
We will be at the Saturday market on June 28 and will accept donations or pledges at that time. We will also have some pieces donated by members of the spinners and weavers for sale. All proceeds will go to towards the cost of the heat pump.
As a reminder, there are three ways to contribute:
- 1.Send your pledge commitment of $________ along with your name and telephone number to denmanoldschool@gmail.com
- 2.Send an e-transfer to denmanoldschool@gmail.com with Heat Pump Project along with your first and last name in the message area.
- 3.Mail a cheque, made out to Denman Old School Committee to Gloria Michin at 1733 Dalziel Rd., Denman Island, V0R1T0
