I hate to say bad things about someone’s writing, but unfortunately, I bought this as an audiobook, so since I spent money and time I feel I have a right to say a few words.

I generally like time travel stories, they are among my favourite tropes.

And while I gave this a 2 star for some originality in the time travel line, the characters were so unbelievably badly written I almost did not finish it. I was rolling my eyes so hard I got a headache.

Homeland Security agent from some obscure department with a recent history of trauma and a longer history of childhood emotional neglect, tracks down the person who called in a tip about an explosion. Come to find out it is a psychologist who does Past Lives Regression ‘therapy’. So already I am starting the eye rolling.

Then the psychologist allows this federal agent into a therapy session with a client, without the client’s lawyer, without any consideration of privacy, protection of client or any basic professional behaviours. THEN they are going on stake outs together and tracking down the current/future life of the client and the bad guys and, oh, my god someone call her regulatory agency and get her licence pulled!

The women pout, the men are wounded, the bad guys are evil. It is just awful and I read it so you don’t have to.

Go reread a favourite instead of this.
