Museum & Archives Summer Gathering
Everyone is invited to the annual Museum and Archives Summer Gathering on August
11, 7:00 PM at the Museum. Refreshments and snacks will be served.
Every year at around this time, we want to thank everyone who has helped us out at the Museum & Archives or has just taken an interest in our efforts to keep Denman history alive and well. It is a chance to talk about what we have accomplished and our plans.
This year our guest display is the history of the Garden Tour which has been put
together by Museum volunteers working with the DCA. Every guest display opens up
another door into some aspect of Denman Island that we’d like to learn a lot more
about, be it stories, artefacts, or records. Everyone and everything are of interest to us.
Our goal is to make Denman history a part of the lived experience of Denman island.
The more information we have, the more the past comes into focus, the more we can
learn about ourselves, the deeper the sense of community.
