Healthy Islands: Onto the next life ADVENTURE
Hello Denman and Hornby Community,
Christopher Mainella here, certified and registered Physiotherapist with the BC College of Physiotherapists, I provide Physiotherapy receipts if you are claiming on your extended health benefits or MSP Premium (which covers $23/session up to 10 sessions). I am currently working on Wednesdays out of the Hornby and Denman Health Care Society building on Hornby and Fridays out of the Denman Medical Clinic.
With the current world situation and our families/friends being so far away, my wife Maya and I have decided to move to Switzerland for some time. My last day on Hornby will be Wednesday December 8th and on Denman, Friday December 10th.
I am so grateful for the time spent on these two magical islands. I continue to cherish it every day. From the get go, we have both felt welcomed with open arms and open hearts, So many community members have been so generous with their time, energy and sharing of their abundance. Denman will always be a home away from home for us. Thank you!
Working as a Physiotherapist, I am so pleased I was able to provide a service so needed on the islands and in turn so appreciated for. I believe it was a win-win situation. It was not an easy decision to leave, but we both decided it was the right timing for us and we decided to prioritize being closer to our family.
Don’t fret, there will be a transition! Carmen Bedard Gautrais (certified Physiotherapist and Acupuncturist) will be returning and taking back the reigns.
In the new year (2022) if you need to see a Physiotherapist please contact the Denman Medical Clinic (250) 335- 2260 for more information.
This is not goodbye but see you later!
On a side note: as a younger couple, who strongly considered putting our roots down here, we fully support the movement, the need and urgency for affordable housing.
