We have lost our liberty
by giving into fear.
By shaking our self-confidence
authorities can steer
us into strange behaviour
like scrambling for a shot
that gives dubious protection
from a flu so few have got.
The media spreads hysteria
and sheeple fall in line,
afraid to feel the consequence
of jail or hefty fine.
The awful thought of painful death
is beat across our backs.
The government has ceased control
and stopped us in our tracks.
In two short the world has changed.
We rarely get to see
expressions of a friendly face.
Forced to mask ain’t free!
