The Herring Bone seeks submissions of articles, poetry, cartoons or art on the subjects of poverty, housing, and the intersection of both on gulf islands. We are in the midst of a housing crisis here on the rock, and so many are affected.
It is time to rise! To bust the conversation open even wider, to include the voices of those who are in vulnerable positions and cannot contribute to the public debate. So, we especially welcome submissions from all who would like a voice but feel unsafe to talk openly on the current situation.
Are you a land owner? Renter? Living in an illegal dwelling? Ideas? Rants? Raves? Everyone is welcome to space in the Herring Bone.
